Easy ways to instantly level up your look

Easy ways to instantly level up your look

You know those days when you get out of bed feeling just… meh?

Something is just off, for whatever reason - maybe a late-night Netflix binge, one too many wines, not enough water the day before - and no amount of coffee or pep talks are going to cut it.

Here are a few quick-fix ways to help you level up your look in a few minutes and get you back to feeling on top.

Show your face some love

Give yourself a mini face massage as you cleanse with your facial cleansing oil - this will help increase the flow of lymphatic fluid and blood beneath the surface of your skin, and help provide that healthy glow. What is lymphatic fluid, you ask? Your lymph system is basically a garbage disposal for your cells, and lymphatic drainage gives you clearer skin and a healthier system overall.

Hydration station

No matter how down you’re feeling, don’t skip your skincare routine, especially for the hydration boost it can provide. Your facial oil and serum will have you fresh-faced and bouncy in no time.

Ice your face

After cleansing, run an ice cube over your face to close and tighten your pores. (You can start the melting process by running the ice cube along your hands). The cooling sensation will also help reduce any inflammation you might have.

Massage the nape of your neck

Blood flow gets blocked with tightened neck muscles, which tense up from stress and put pressure on your blood vessels. By massaging the nape of your neck for a minute, you loosen the muscles. Proper blood flow helps you think better and instantly de-stresses you, preventing the release of the hormone cortisol that can inhibit collagen production. This, in turn, leaves you looking fresh-faced and fine line-free.

One minute of movement

Ok don’t hate us, but honestly, give it a try. Run in place, dance around or do as many jumping jacks as 60 seconds will allow. This burst of activity will get your circulation going and boosts your oxygen levels to speed up your metabolism — it even gives your face a gorgeous flush.

Dry-brush your body

You don’t even need to get into the shower for this one. Use a body brush with soft bristles to quickly and lightly exfoliate your skin. Not only does it increase circulation, but it also encourages lymphatic drainage. Use upward motions toward your heart so the waste exits your system properly. Remember to wash your brush when you shower to get rid of dead skin cells!

ACV in the shower?!

Rinse your hair with apple cider vinegar after you shampoo it. Douse your mane with a cup of apple cider vinegar to instantly increase shine.

Spritz yourself

Carry a face spray in your purse and spritz it throughout the day. Collagen breaks down when the moisture in your skin is depleted. When you feel your skin getting tight and dry, lightly spritz your face with an enriched face spray like Cushion - rich in Vitamin C, Aloe Vera and Rosewater to boost cellular function and reduce inflammation. Let it soak in (Don't touch your face or you could transfer bacteria from your hands onto it!).
